Kerry school awarded by national LGBTQ+ organisation

A Kerry school has been awarded by a national organisation for LGBTQ+ young people in Ireland.

St. Brendan’s College in Killarney received the recognition from ‘Belong To’.

They were among the 39 schools and youth centres awarded, following an 18-month programme designed to strengthen LGBTQ+ inclusion and student wellbeing.

The award ceremony was held in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dublin.

Belong To CEO, Kieran O’Donovan, said the accreditation highlighted the positive work happening in schools in Kerry and across the country.
