A Kerry residential care unit has received a positive report from the health watchdog.
The Health Information and Quality Authority carried out an unannounced inspection of Kerry Cheshire Home in Killarney on November 18th.
The centre which provides support for people with physical disabilities and neurological conditions, was inspected across eight areas of the Health Act 2007.
Inspectors found it to be compliant in six categories, and substantially compliant in two – protection; and individual assessment and plan.
HIQA noted that residents were happy in their home and complimented staff on the support they receive.
