A Kerry businessman says young workers should be in the office.

The managing director of Red Chair Recruitment in Killarney, Fred McDonogh, was responding comments made by Irish billionaire, Denis O'Brien.

Mr O'Brien has criticised remote working and claims the practice is making the public sector less efficient and less productive.

Fred McDonogh of Red Chair Recruitment says, in his experience, companies are not offering fulltime remote working.

On Denis O'Brien's comments about remote working in the public sector, he said the challenge is that managers have no experience of managing teams who are working from home.

However, Mr McDonogh says hybrid working is still an option:
