Kerry recorded the highest amount of rainfall in Ireland last month.
That’s according to Met Éireann’s climate statement for October.
It shows Valentia Observatory recorded 15% over it’s long-term average (LTA) rainfall, with 198.1mm of rain in the month.
The South Kerry weather station also recorded the most rainfall in one day during October.
48.1mm of rain was recorded in Kerry on Thursday October 2nd, accounting for 28% of the monthly LTA.
The weather summary shows that October was warmer than average, was very dull and had above average rainfall in most parts of the country.
