Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre has confirmed it's closing its account on Elon Musk's social media platform, X.
It follows criticism of the platform's AI tool, Grok, which has been linked to deep fake images that 'nudifiy' women and children.
X's chatbot, Grok, allows users digitally alter images of other people - including children - by undressing them without their permission.
So far, X's only action to the outrage over this is to limit the generating and editing of images with Grok to paid subscribers.
Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre has confirmed to Radio Kerry that it's leaving the X platform.
This follows on from Women's Aid decision to leave the social media site.
Its chief, Sarah Benson, said the decision was “not an easy one” but described the current situation as a ‘tipping point’.
Grok confirmed the change in terms and says it will address the recent misuse concerns.
