Demonstrators protesting at Foynes port say they will continue blocking access to fuel terminals.

A second day of protests are underway at the West Limerick port, which is the largest fuel port in the country.

Neilus O’Connor, who is from Moyvane, is among the protestors.

He says the demonstration will continue indefinitely and has asked the government for fairness and dialog:

Meanwhile, Head of Fuels for Ireland Kevin McPartlan, says he understands the strain people are under, but blocking ports is a huge issue:

Independent deputy for Kerry Danny Healy-Rae has called on the government to suspend the carbon tax.

When asked on Kerry Today of he’d be prepared to pull his support of the government if they didn’t suspend carbon tax, he gave this response:
