Kerry generated the highest amount of wind energy in the country for September.
That's according to figures from Wind Energy Ireland (WEI), which published its monthly wind energy report today.
The Kingdom produced over 11.4% of the country's wind energy.
129 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy were generated in Kerry, compared to 117 Galway, the second highest in the country.
Wind farms provided 35 per cent of the country’s electricity last month, the highest on record for a September month, totaling 1,129 gigawatt-hours.
The report also confirmed that renewably energy has generated 42% of Ireland’s electricity last month.
