Kerry primary school awarded yellow flag for commitment to intercultural inclusion and addressing racism

A Kerry primary school has been awarded a yellow flag in recognition of its commitment to intercultural inclusion and addressing racism.

Nagle Rice Primary School in Milltown received the accolade.

The Yellow Flag Programme is a whole-school initiative which supports schools to become more inclusive of all cultures and ethnicities, celebrate diversity and challenge racism and discrimination.

The school did projects researching various areas including South Africa and presented their findings at a special event in the school.
