People in Kerry are being warned to be vigilant against fraudsters trying to take advantage of the Ryder Cup in Adare next year.
Superintendent Michael Fleming is urging people in the county to be wary of scams whether they’re hoping to attend the event or if offering accommodation.
He believes Kerry's proximity to Adare means that the county will benefit from one of the world's most popular sporting events.
Superintendent Fleming is advising those hoping to rent out their homes or purchase tickets to do so on official sites only.
