Event organisers in Kerry are being encouraged to register their events for National Heritage Week.

Now in its 26th year, National Heritage Week is Ireland’s largest celebration of built, cultural, and natural heritage that are vulnerable or under threat.

There were 78 events hosted in Kerry during last year’s heritage week, including the Rose of Tralee dresses through the decades, and ‘A Day in the Bog’ at Kerry Writers’ Museum.

This year’s festival has the theme, ‘Heritage at Risk’, and runs from 15th to 23rd August.

Communities and organisers can register their events at heritageweek.ie, where resources will be available to support their event planning, accessibility, and promotion.
