Minister for Education Norma Foley says students will have designated seats when travelling on their school bus to ensure everyone’s safety.

She says the roadmap to reopening schools, which includes measures for school transport, is based on public health advice.

Children will be allocated seats near siblings or classmates; Minister Foley says this will ensure the safety of everyone on board.

€11.3 million is being made available to implement any necessary measures for school transport services, this includes hand sanitiser, PPE for drivers and enhanced cleaning.
