There’s no reason that the Irish Government can’t quickly pass on measures to help cut energy prices now that the EU Commission has given permission to do so.
That’s according to Ireland South MEP Seán Kelly.
He was speaking after the European Commission unveiled new measures which it says are designed to try to protect households and businesses from price shocks.
The Fine Gael MEP and Kilcummin man says once it gets the greenlight, measures could be passed on within weeks if not sooner.
