A Kerry man who campaigned for homeowners who were overcharged for their mortgages says his confidence in the Financial Services Ombudsman is at an all-time low.
Financial advisor Padraic Kissane features heavily in a new two-part TV documentary about the biggest consumer overcharging scandal in state history.
According to Central Bank figures, over 42,000 tracker mortgage accounts were overcharged; many at great personal cost.
Padraic Kissane believes the Central Bank and the banking sector have learned lessons from the scandal.
However, the Lisselton man says more needs to be done, particularly regarding the time it takes the Financial Services Ombudsman to deal with complaints:
