A Kerry journalist has been nominated for a national humanitarian journalism award.

Amy Ní Riada has been shortlisted in the journalism category for her reporting on the East African humanitarian crisis.

Her work, over a two-year period while based in Kenya, brought international attention to communities affected by climate-exacerbated flooding.
The Irish Red Cross Humanitarian Awards take place on May 8th.
