Kerry hotelier says tourism sector in better place than last year

A Kerry hotelier says there will be challenges with staff recruitment as the industry prepares to reopen.

CEO of the Gleneagle Hotel Group, Patrick O’Donoghue says capacity will be limited by ongoing public health restrictions.

However, Mr O’Donoghue, who is a member of the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation, says the sector is in a better place than it was last year.

He says being able to open in July will be vital for tourism businesses to build reserves and the industry can look forward to a good summer:
