A Kerry hotelier says more needs to be done to encourage more Irish people to holiday at home.
Patrick Hanley of The Lansdowne hotel in Kenmare says he welcomes plans to reduce the VAT rate to 9%.
However, Mr Hanley says the cost of energy is a huge issue for the sector.
He says the season this year has been excellent so far with the good weather in May providing a big boost for businesses.
