The Green Party in Kerry is calling for a cycling officer to be appointed.
The party has welcomed the announcement that over €1.5 million will be invested in cycling and walking facilities in Tralee and Killarney.
However, they say an experienced cycling officer should be appointed quickly to oversee the projects to ensure value for money and quality.
