A Kerry driver was found responsible for one of the notable speeds detected during Gardaí road surveillance this Bank Holiday Weekend.
The driver was found to be travelling at 139kph in a 100kph zone in Killarney yesterday.
A Garda Roads Policing Operation is taking place across the country throughout the May Bank Holiday; it began Thursday morning 30th April and will continue until Tuesday 5th of May.
Nationally, over 1,700 drivers were detected for speeding offences during the first 3 days of the operation.
An Garda Síochána and the Road Safety Authority are urging all road users to support their efforts to keep them and all others on the roads safe this May Bank Holiday weekend.
