Kerry Dairy Ireland (KDI) has maintained its April milk price at March levels.
In its April milk statement, the milk processor reported it would pay farmers 37.5 cent per litre (c/l) of milk supplied last month, inclusive of VAT, and quality and sustainability bonuses.
This is a drop of 12.93 c/l year-on-year on the April 2025 gross milk price of 50.43 c/l.
Based on the average milk solids supplied to Kerry Dairy Ireland in April, the gross milk price is 40.93 c/l.
When equated with the EU's standard constituents (3.4% protein and 4.2% butterfat), the milk price including VAT is 41.08 c/l.
Kerry Dairy Ireland added that the global milk supply remains "relatively strong" but that commodity markets are stable "despite the ongoing geopolitical risk and uncertainty".
