A Kerry cyclist says many cyclists don’t report “close passes” or 'near misses' to Gardaí because they happen so frequently.
Keith Phelan of the Kerry Cycling Campaign was reacting to a recent survey by Cycling Ireland.
It showed that more than 51% of 2,000 respondents were involved in a “near miss” or collision in the past year.
However, only 11% of these cyclists reported the incidents to Gardaí or the PSNI.
Speaking on Kerry Today, Mr Phelan said dangerous driving or abuse from a motorist incidents occur on the county’s roads regularly.
