A Kerry county councillor has criticised the government, which includes his own party, for failing to reform planning laws.
Fine Gael councillor for the Listowel Municipal District, Michael Foley was speaking following the news yesterday that Friends of the Irish Environment had brought High Court action against the proposed Shannon LNG development.
He claims the entire planning process takes too long, and can too easily be used by individuals and groups to stall development.
