A Kerry County Councillor is appealing to motorists to slow down on our roads and not put themselves or others at risk.
Fianna Fáil councillor Fionnán Fitzgerald says he’s received numerous calls from people who are upset and frightened at the speed people are travelling at recently.
He says he’s been alerted to numerous incidents including people speeding on small country roads, overtaking at roundabouts or passing out in parts of the roads that they shouldn’t be.
Cllr Fitzgerald is urging people to slow down and not be rushing to get everything done before Christmas.
He says these dangerous behaviours only result in drivers being a few minutes ahead and he says it’s not worth the risk:
