Kerry County Council is being urged to introduce a text alert system to combat the misuse of disabled parking bays.
The Disabled Drivers' Association of Ireland (DDAI) has launched the new "Don't Invade My Space" campaign.
Their aim is to combat the abuse of accessible parking spaces through the introduction of a nationwide text alert scheme.
This scheme would allow people to anonymously report illegal parking by texting a parking bay number to local wardens, eliminating the risk of confrontation.
