Kerry County Council will begin hedge cutting at busier junctions over the coming weeks.
At the recent Kenmare Municipal District meeting, Independent councillor Dan McCarthy called for hedge cutting at all junctions to make them safer.
He says funding should be available and cutting should take place, as some junctions are serious dangerous as a result of overwhelming growth recently.
In response, Kerry County Council confirmed it’ll undertake a programme of hedge cutting at the busier public road junctions later this month or in early July.
It says the hedge cutting will be focused on the national secondary, regional and more heavily trafficked local primary roads.
