Kerry County Council has received 618 applications under the Tenant Purchase Scheme since it began in 2016.
The council says, of these, 440 applications were deemed eligible or eligible with queries or required further action.
Of the eligible applicants, 361 received a letter of offer, inviting them to purchase their home.
