Kerry County Council has published plans to compulsorily purchase five properties under the Derelict Sites Act.
The sites include a single-storey, multi-unit residential structure at O’Keeffe’s Chalets, Sandhill Road, Ballyheigue (V92 C5X2).
Also listed are a derelict terraced, multi-storey structure at 3 Staughton’s Row, Tralee (V92 YSXV), and a derelict two-storey, semi-detached residential unit at 51 Fountain Court, Tralee (V92 E9AV).
A derelict terraced, two-storey residence at The Fair Green, Caherciveen (V23 E519), and a derelict two-storey terraced residence at 7 Island of Geese, Tralee, have also been identified by the council for compulsory purchase.
Any owner, lessee or occupier, except someone renting for less than a month, has until 2 February next to submit a written objection to the proposed compulsory purchase.
All objections must explain the grounds for the objection and must be addressed to: Derelict Sites Office, Town and Village Renewal and Land Activation, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee, Co. Kerry, V92 H7VT.
The maps can be inspected at the Planning Section Public Counter, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee, from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
If an objection is not withdrawn, the site cannot be compulsorily acquired without the consent of An Coimisiún Pleanála.
