Kerry County Council is monitoring the track of Storm Amy to best prepare before it makes landfall bringing strong winds.
A status yellow warning for wind is in place for the entire country tomorrow from 12pm to midnight.
This could cause difficult travelling conditions, debris or displaced objects and fallen trees.
Director of services for community, climate action and operational services with Kerry County Council, John Kennelly says the council is watching the track of the storm to see if it changes.
He says it’s expected that winds will be slow to ease even after the warnings end.
John Kennelly says Kerry County Council is making all the necessary precautions ahead of Storm Amy, but he says people should prepare at home as well:
Any issues like fallen trees should be reported to the council’s emergency number on 066 718 3588.
