Kerry County Council has confirmed a Family Festival will go ahead in Tralee town in August.
In a statement, the council confirmed they met with the Rose of Tralee International Festival Committee yesterday afternoon; while Tralee Municipal District Members were updated on the current position by the council CEO today.

Tralee MD added they are fully supportive of the continuation of street events in the Town Centre; and will be working with local businesses and organisations, to ensure this will continue.
The statement concluded, the street festival and family activities form an integral part of the Festival in Tralee; and Kerry County Council has traditionally been a strong promoter of family-orientated festivals.
