Kerry County Council has acquired a 42-acre landbank in Tralee, with the primary aim of building houses.
The council says a masterplan will be prepared for this landbank at Rahoonane, behind the Na Gaeil GAA field.
This masterplan will be created by the council’s planning department, setting out the strategy for future development of the land.
Last month’s meeting of Kerry County Council was told the land would be developed primarily for residential units across a number of tenure types, subject to the masterplan.
The masterplan for the site will include an appropriate phasing strategy for the delivery of any residential units.
