Kerry County Council holds no contracts with companies based in the occupied territories of Palestine.
The information was provided in response to a motion to Fianna Fáil councillor, Michael Leane at the recent full council meeting.
He stated that the council should send an unequivocal message that its members are abhorred by the genocide currently taking place.
Cllr Leane added its important to highlight members are urging for humanitarian assistance be allowed enter the region; adding the killing and war must stop.
Cllr Leane said he hopes and prays if enough authorities and organisations shout stop, that those who have influence to end the killing will do so.
The motion was seconded by Kerry Independent Alliance councillor John O’Donoghue, who said he appreciated people will ask what difference this will make, but that it’s important that councillors make their our voices heard.
