A Kerry councillor fears the afforestation proposal in the Climate Action Plan will spell the end of farming life.
Independent councillor Dan McCarthy from Kenmare is also manager of Kenmare Mart.
He has serious concerns about afforestation, saying the planting of more forestry and woods on land means there can be no more farming.
