Kerry Co-operative Creameries is assuring suppliers that they'll have ample time to consider new milk supply contracts before they must be signed.
The current contracts are valid until the end of April.
Interim chair of the Munster Dairy Producer Organisation (MDPO), James Doyle says milk suppliers have been promised a draft of the new contract many times, but that these target dates have come and gone, with no contract circulated to farmers.
Chairman of Kerry Co-operative Creameries, James Tangney, says the contract is expected to be with suppliers in April.
He says he understands that farmers 'naturally' want to see the new contract well in advance.
Mr Tangney continued that Kerry Co-op will not require suppliers to sign the contract before 1 May, and that they will not be put under pressure.
