Kerry architecture student honoured at Future Timber Design awards

A Kerry architecture student has been honoured at the first ever Future Timber Design awards.

Carlise Caffery from Killarney received the recognition at the inaugural ceremony.

The new initiative by Forest Industries Ireland aims to encourage sustainable and innovative timber design and construction among students.

Carlise was honoured along with her teammates from TU Dublin, for their project ‘Afterlife’, a small shelter designed from timber offcuts in the university’s workshop.
