Kerry was among the most popular destinations for domestic tourism in Ireland between October and December last year.
That’s according to the Central Statistics Office Household Travel Survey report for the fourth quarter of 2024.
The Southern region, which includes Kerry, Cork, Clare and Limerick, accounted for almost 45% of all domestic trips in Ireland.
Over 1.7 million visits were made to the region in the final three months of the year, with the average stay of domestic trips at 1.9 nights.
The figures show visiting family or relatives accounted for the highest percentage of trips, while 34% of trips were listed as holidays.
