Kerry was among the most popular destinations for domestic tourism in Ireland in the second quarter of this year.
That’s according to data from the Central Statistics Office for between April and June.
The Southern region, which includes Kerry, Cork, Clare and Limerick, accounted for 46% of all domestic trips in the state.
Almost 2 million (1,962,000) visits were made to the region in the second quarter of 2025, a 7.5% rise on the same period last year.
The figures show the average stay of domestic trips was 2.3 nights; with holidays accounting for the highest number of trips, followed by visiting family or relatives.
