Kerry Airport CEO says airlines are interested in taking on Kerry-Dublin route

The CEO of Kerry Airport says there are airlines interested in taking on the PSO route between Kerry and Dublin.

It was announced on Saturday that Stobart Air, which previously operated the route, had gone into liquidation, leading to the cancellation of all flights on their Aer Lingus routes, including Kerry-Dublin.

CEO of Kerry Airport, John Mulhern, says he's very confident the Public Service Obligation route will resume.

Mr Mulhern adds he's been contacted by an airline, not based in Ireland, which is ready and able to take on the service with 88-seater jets.
