Kenmare wastewater treatment plant is on track to be completed in early 2026.
The long-awaited, €25 million facility was granted planning permission in January 2023, and works began last autumn.
Planning applications for housing developments in the South Kerry town have been refused for a number of years, as there isn’t adequate capacity in the current facility.

At this month’s council meeting, correspondence received by the council from Uisce Éireann shows the plant is on track for completion in early 2026.
