The Justice Minister is to meet officials today to discuss the future of some 200 people living in IPAS accommodation in South Kerry.
It comes as almost 160 people – including families with children - have been told that they have to leave their accommodation in Cahersiveen.
Last week, residents at the Skellig Star Hotel were told that they have to leave their accommodation, with some given just 24-hours-notice.
The other international protection applicants living at the centre are due to leave next month, at the end of the school year.
Meanwhile, a new group of international protection applicants will be moved to the hotel in Cahersiveen.
Fianna Fáil TD for Kerry, Michael Cahill has been told that Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan is meeting officials today on the matter.
Ellen Otuagohmah, who is from Nigeria, has been living in Cahersiveen for three years, and works in Valentia Community Hospital.
She is also due to graduate in health care at Kerry ETB, Cahersiveen later this month.
Ms Otuagohmah received a letter informing her that she is to leave Skellig Star and move to accommodation in Sligo on Friday.
She says the Department of Justice should have consulted residents first and asked who wanted to leave or stay.
