The Minister for Justice was among those in attendance at an event by Tralee gardaí this week to help adults with additional needs in the community.

Tralee Community Policing’s Coffee With The Cops morning at Kerry County Library featured two presentations to empower vulnerable adults with essential safety knowledge and practical skills.

A streetwise personal safety talk by Sergeant Mike Quirke focused on recognising unsafe situations, setting boundaries, and knowing how and when to seek help.

A road safety talk by TJ O’Connor from the Road Safety Authority emphasised pedestrian awareness, safe crossing practices, and understanding traffic signals.

Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan, Minister for Disability and Kerry TD Norma Foley, as well as Assistant Commissioner Eileen Foster were among the attendees at the event.
