There were just under 11,000 learner drivers on the roads in Kerry at the end of September.
Data released to the Irish Road Haulage Association from the Road Safety Authority show there has been an increase in the number of learner drivers in the six months to September.
There are over 394,000 learner permit holders in Ireland, with just under 11,000 in Kerry.
This is a 6% increase since March this year, when there were 10,348 learners on the roads in Kerry.
Around half of the learner drivers in Kerry are either between 17 and 20 years old, or 30 and 39 years old.
23 learner permit holders in Kerry are over the age of 80, while 99 are between 70 and 79 years old.
