Just over 1,000 (1,002) civil servants across all government departments are based in Kerry.
Of these, 959 are employed on a full-time equivalent basis.
As of the end of September this year, a total of 26,560 civil servants were employed in Dublin, with a further 25,603 in other counties.
In addition to this, further 1,096 are located outside the 26 counties and are largely employed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and serving abroad.
The figures were provided by Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Jack Chambers, following a query by Fianna Fáil TD Malcolm Byrne.
