Staff at the Skelligs Chocolate Factory in the Iveragh Gaeltacht have been told their jobs are secure.
In November last year, it was announced that an application was made to the High Court to wind up the operating company which is linked to businessman Paddy McKillen Junior.
He owns separate companies, one of which is the landlord of the building out of which Skelligs Chocolate operates.
25 people are employed at the South Kerry factory and there were concerns for their future employment.
Fianna Fáil councillor Norma Moriarty says Skelligs Chocolate is a very solid and successful business.
She says the staff were told that their jobs are secure and there are also plans to grow the workforce there.
