Jessie Buckley’s father is thanking the people of Kerry for their support ahead of the Oscars this weekend.

The Killarney woman is looking to make history and become the first Irish woman to win the Best Actress award at the Oscars.

Jessie Buckley is nominated for her role in Hamnet and the awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles overnight on Sunday.
