Ireland South MEP hopes for new committee position

An Ireland South MEP hopes to be appointed onto a new committee dedicated to public health.

The European Parliament recently voted to establish the Public Health Sub-Committee.

Fine Gael, Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune has put her name forward to sit on this.

She says the pandemic has shown why public health needs its own dedicated sub-committee.
