Gardaí say investigations are ongoing into a serious road traffic collision in Listowel yesterday.
A young boy was hit by a vehicle on Bridge Road in the town yesterday evening.
Emergency services attended the scene and the boy was airlifted to hospital in Dublin by the Irish Community Air Ambulance in a serious condition.

The road was closed for a time but has now reopened to traffic.
