The establishment of a state Invasive Species Bureau is vital for biodiversity in Kerry.
That's according to the assistant professor in environmental and sustainable horticulture at UCD, Dr Noeleen Smyth.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and the National Biodiversity Data Centre (NBDC) have partnered to establish the agency.
