A new interagency group has been established to promote job creation and retention in Kerry. Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Patrick Connor-Scarteen says

A new interagency group has been established to promote job creation and retention in Kerry.

Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Patrick Connor-Scarteen says the Employment Creation and Retention Working Group will complement the work being done to meet the challenges of COVID-19.

It includes Kerry County Council, Kerry Local Enterprise Office, IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Kerry SciTech, Kerry Tourism Industry Federation, Kerry Chambers Network, IT Tralee, and industry representatives.

Cllr Connor-Scarteen and Cllr Michael O'Shea will also be part of the group.

Chief Executive of Tralee Chamber, Ken Tobin said they have been calling for Kerry to stand together with a dedicated and resourced taskforce following the recent closures in Tralee.
