An influx of Glossy Ibis birds have made their way to Kerry as a result of climate change.
Around 100 of these birds have been seen in Waterville, Cahersiveen, Cromane, Blennerville and near Ardfert over the past ten days.
The Glossy Ibis breeds in areas like Spain, Portugal and Italy and they probe for food in marshes and wetlands.
However, birdwatcher and Castleisland native Ed Carty says it’s unprecedented to see such large numbers of the birds here.
