Improvement works are to begin this week on a busy mid-Kerry road.
It was revealed earlier this year that Irish Water had allocated €73,000 for reinstatement works on the Board of Works road in Beaufort, while Kerry County Council is to contribute over €41,000 to the works.
Kerry county councillor Michael Cahill says this is great news for Beaufort.

He added road users have suffered for far too long as the road has been in a shocking and dangerous condition.
