Iarnród Eireann advises of works impacting some Kerry trains this weekend

Customers in Kerry planning journeys with Iarnród Eireann this weekend are being advised to check timetables before travelling.

People are being encouraged to pre book for intercity travel particularly at busy times.

Work are being carried out along certain routes including Connolly to Drogheda and Howth.

Irish Rail's spokesperson Jane Cregan, says Kerry, Cork, and Galway routes will be interrupted during the works.

Saturday 31st January, Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd February - Tralee Services:

  • Buses will operate Mallow/Banteer/Millstreet/Rathmore/Killarney/Farranfore and return
  • A second bus will operate Mallow/Farranfore/Tralee and return
  • A third bus will operate Mallow/Rathmore/Killarney and return
  • A fourth bus will operate Killarney/Farranfore/Tralee and return

Cork connections are provided as follows:

  • Saturday: Hourly service Cork/Mallow/Cork
  • Sunday and Monday: Hourly via the Cork/Mallow/Charleville buses with some additionals.
